Retina 2012 Event

Nearly 100 doctors of optometry and medical representatives attended Retina Institute of Hawaii’s third annual Open House on March 8, 2012.

As part of RIH’s commitment to providing continuing education to local optometrists, key topics included the extraordinary implantable miniature telescope, the latest in stem cell advances and the introduction of RIH’s new Human Performance and Sensory Center of Excellence. These lectures provided 4.5 TPA continuing education class credits.

Attendees were in for an exciting evening with the unveiling of RIH’s 2012 Visionary Journal and special guest presentations. Speakers included RIH’s own Dr. Michael Bennett, Dr. Allen Reichow, Nike’s Global Director of Vision Sciences and Joseph H. Fitzgerald, O.C.S., independent consultant specializing in Ophthalmological and Optometric practices in Medical Office Management and Claims filing techniques.

Raffle prizes were given out between speakers. Congratulations to the winners who are listed below:

All attendees were given a copy of the Visionary journal along with a gift set including an RIH water bottle, pen and beach towel.
